How soon can someone be seen for an appointment?
Depending on the need, we try our best to see patients as soon as possible. Typically, we see patients within two weeks.
What insurances do you accept?
We are in network with most insurance policies including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, United Health Care, Humana and many others. We will verify your insurance benefits prior to your appointment to ensure coverage. You can also contact your insurance provider to see if we are in network with your specific insurance policy.
Do I need a referral from my primary care provider in order to be seen for nephrology care?
Depending on your insurance policy, you may be required to provide a written referral from your primary care physician.
How do you communicate with my other providers involved in my care?
After we see a patient, we usually send our clinical documentation to your primary care doctor via fax. We also have the ability to provide patients with printed copies of our documentation to share with their primary care providers and other specialists involved in their care.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
All of our providers at Comprehensive Kidney Care are in compliance with CDC guidelines and hospital policies. We also require our providers to wear masks at all times when treating patients.
